Contact points and reporting

Information under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA) for the TradeMentorX community.

1. Contact point for authorities (Art. 11 DSA)

Authorities of the European Union and its member states can reach TradeMentorX at the following electronic contact point: support@tradementorx.com. We can communicate in German and English.

2. Contact point for recipients of the service (Art. 12 DSA)

Users can reach us at support@tradementorx.com. Requests are not handled exclusively by automated means; a human reviews every request. We can communicate in German and English.

You can also write to us using the contact form.

3. Report content (Art. 16 DSA)

Anyone who considers content on the platform unlawful can report it, without needing an account: in the app via “Report” on the post with the reason “Probably illegal”, or by email to support@tradementorx.com.

For effective processing we ask for the following information:

  • Explanation: of why the reporting person considers the content unlawful.
  • Exact location: the exact address (URL) of the content, or another way to identify it if a URL is not available. In the app the location is sent automatically.
  • Name and email address: of the reporting person. Exception: reports concerning a suspected offence under Articles 3 to 7 of Directive 2011/93/EU (sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children) do not require this information.
  • Statement of good faith: that the reporting person believes in good faith that the information and allegations in the report are accurate and complete.

4. What happens after a report

If the report includes an electronic contact detail, we confirm receipt without undue delay. We handle the report in a diligent, non-arbitrary and objective manner and inform the reporting person of our decision, together with information on the available possibilities for redress. If the affected user is known, they receive a statement of reasons under Art. 17 DSA.

5. Redress

Anyone who disagrees with a decision of the provider can object: in the app via “Report a bug” with the type “Objection to a decision”, or by email to support@tradementorx.com. We will then review the decision again. This is a voluntary offer; it does not replace a formal internal complaint-handling system under Art. 20 DSA or out-of-court dispute settlement under Art. 21 DSA, which the provider as a micro-enterprise is not required to offer under Art. 19 DSA. Recourse to the competent courts remains available in any case.

6. Notification to authorities (Art. 18 DSA)

Where the provider becomes aware of information giving rise to a suspicion that a criminal offence involving a threat to the life or safety of a person has taken place, is taking place or is likely to take place, it promptly notifies the law enforcement or judicial authorities of the member state concerned (or, where relevant, of Switzerland) and provides all relevant information available.

7. Personality rights under Swiss law

Independent of a report under Art. 16 DSA, a person whose personality rights are unlawfully violated by content on the platform can request its removal (Article 28(1) of the Swiss Civil Code). The provider acts once it becomes aware of the violation through this or another channel.
